How did RABOM get started?
The story of Ribbons and Bows Oh My! began in 2002 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, just outside Chicago, when company founder Jennifer Huinker bought $50 worth of denim grosgrain ribbon and sold it on EBay. A stay-at-home mom, Jennifer was interested in a business which would allow her the flexibility of operating from her home and keeping her own work schedule. Today, RABOM is currently approaching $3 Million in annual sales.
Where do you get your unique designs?
We are constantly researching color trends for both fashion and interior decorating. With our designer, we create our own new, unique ribbons that reflect current trends, themes and seasons.
We also carry Trims & Things such as, headbands, crochet caps and beanies. Embellishments such as puff appliqués, resins, and crochet flowers are very popular.
Need some scrapbook paper to match your favorite ribbon? Our Scrap Packs provide matching paper and ribbons to create that very personal project.
Do you design your own ribbon?
We have over 250 original prints of ribbon. We also carry other products such as, headbands, caps, appliqués, korkers, flowers and scrapbooking paper.

I just received a bag full of ribbon my mom found when she was spring cleaning. There are some patterns in the bag of strawberries! I can’t wait to use these newly discovered old ribbon styles in the greeting cards I make!

I like using ribbon to wrap a wreath form or to connect pennants in a banner.
I love using ribbons in my hair. I save all sorts of little scrap ribbons too, especially the ones that come on fancy chocolates. I also like to use ribbons as trims on clothing and home accessories I make, like pillows and dishtowels. I went to the RABOM website and it’s very neat and organized, which is great. I like the “cupcake clippie”- it looks very cute! and hardware for barrettes, pony barrettes, clips- how handy to have it all together.
I love using ribbon in my card designs and when making party favors. It’s a little something extra I believe adds some much more to the final project.
I love using ribbon on my cards. I have used ribbon on my scrapbooking pages but since I use page protectors, they always get squished so I don’t do it very often. I used to use lots for hair ribbons when my daughter was little.
I love ribbon and use it a few different ways. I really like wrapping it around a plastic bangle to create a custom bracelet. I also tie a piece to all of my orders in a color that matches the item the customer bought. I think it helps make every thing look cohesive. Some times I will even use a piece of ribbon as a belt! So versatile!!!!

I use ribbon for EVERYTHING! Not even kidding. I use it on cards, home decor items, baby soother clips, birthday decorations, I made a watch band with it, it’s on my daughter’s doll clothes, I love to use “real” ribbon to decorate wrapped gifts with, and we can’t forget the hundreds of hair bows my daughter has in her room. (That may be only a slight exaggeration …) Yup. I love ribbon!

I rarely make a card that doesn’t have ribbon on it somewhere. I’m fortunate to be close to the Berwick outlet but even they can’t satisfy my cravings for ribbon.
I love using ribbon on my cards! I can hardly make a card without it, it just adds a little dimension and texture – love it!

I LOVE ribbon!! In fact, I am one among many ribbon hoarders!! Mine are in candy jars arranged by color!! So pretty!! My daughter always wore a huge colorful hairbow whenever she was out of the house. Now my 6-month old GD is wearing them!! I use ribbons on cards, mini-books, LOs, home decor—where ever a little color is needed and your ribbons are GORGEOUS!!!

To me a project just doesn’t look “finished” until I put some sort of ribbon or trim on it. It adds thaqt little extra something.
my favorite way to use ribbon is to pleat it or scrunch it up and sew it to a card or use super sticky tape to hold it in place.
Right now I’m really loving making bows, barrettes, and hair bands for my nieces out of ribbon. Little girls can never have enough hair doo-dads.
Besides using ribbon on my pages and cards and of course clothes I love making book markers out of them. They are the perfect for it as they can be put in a pocket when you are reading on the go and when in use they lay flat in the book so you don’t hurt the spine of the book. The ribbons can be printed on if you want to customize it or some are such pretty designs I leave them just as they are and add a few charms or embellishments at the ends of them.
I love making bows for my little girl. I love ribbon on homemade good and packaging, it always adds pop and dimension. I’m getting ready for my little girls 4th Birthday (Pixies and Pirates) party and I’m on the hunt for the perfect ribbon for her party favor gift bags.

Ribbons make me happy. I usually use them when making cards. Last week I made a memory box and added a ripple ribbon to the outside edge. It was the icing on the cake! Nothing else would have been as effective.
